On September 13th Gillibrand and Carolyn McCarthy were able to announce that Hofstra university museum will recieve $142,231 in federal funds to help go towards primary education. Gillibrand mentioned that with the grant money the museum can provide innovative programs for surrounding schools to help better the education of young children. The museum is planning on using the grant to hirer part time educators to help strengthen their "Art Travelers Through Time" program.
Gillibrand has spent a lot of time recently helping to improve different parts of New York by announcing grants and helping make sure the money is going somewhere useful.
