Earlier today Kirsten Gillibrand and Say Yes to Education were able to announce that 11 privet universities were committed to helping provide tuition aid for urban students. Say Yes to Education is an organization that helps almost 65,000 students k-12 in the Syracuse City School District and the Buffalo Public Schools to have the ability and resources to go to college and make sure no kid misses the opportunity due to financial problems. Gillibrand stated that one of the clearest ways to become apart of the U.S middle class is through a higher education so the opportunity for one to work hard for their degree must be attainable
Personally I love that Gillibrand has made education for young adults such an important matter to her because I believe that for a person to be an active participant in society and citizen they must be educated.
