This week Kirsten Gillibrand helped to  raise and donate $40,644 to give to  the North Tonawanda Fire Department. Kirsten Gillibrand was also able to announce that the port of Oswego will receive a TIGER. A TIGER is  a Transportation Investment Generating Economic Recovery. This will allow the port of Oswego to upgrade their infrastructure and equipment so they can meet their future demands. 
Personally I like that Gillibrand is able to donate money to different places so that they can run more smoothly and help our community but I hope she is able to touch on some bigger issues as the year goes on.
