This weeks Kirsten Gillibrand, along with Charles E. Schumer, awarded the city of Troy's Department of Justice with $31,630 under the JAG program. With this money the department will be able to deploy officers to areas that have been experiencing greater crime activity. Gillibrand reported that this investment is meant to help keep the people of Troy safe. Troy's mayor, Lou Rosamilia was very great full toward both senators and stated that with the grant money they send officers to higher criminal activity areas to keep their communities safe.
I  think that Gillibrand and Schumer being able to donate money towards the Department of Justice shows both of the senators are willing to work with what is good for their community. This is the third act of Gillibrand donating money towards a good cause in the last month. Recently she has been focused on what she can help improve within her state.
